Purpose/ 목적
These Terms govern the use of Park English, an employment placement service operated by Meta Education Inc. ("the Company"), a fee-charging job placement agency registered with the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor, connecting native English teachers and Korean hagwons (private academies).
이 약관은 고용노동부에 등록된 유료직업소개사업자인 주식회사 메타에듀케이션(이하 "회사")이 운영하는 Park English 서비스, 즉 원어민 영어 강사와 국내 학원을 연결하는 직업소개 서비스의 이용 조건을 정합니다.
Definitions/ 용어의 정의
"Member" means a person or academy that has completed signup under these Terms. "Teacher member" means a member seeking a teaching position; "Hagwon member" means an academy seeking to hire. "Matching" means the Company's introduction and placement activities between the two.
"회원"은 이 약관에 따라 가입을 마친 개인 또는 학원을 말합니다. "강사 회원"은 강사 자리를 찾는 회원, "학원 회원"은 채용을 원하는 학원을 말하며, "매칭"은 회사가 양측을 소개하고 알선하는 활동을 말합니다.
Effect and Amendment of Terms/ 약관의 효력과 개정
These Terms take effect when posted on the service. The Company may amend them within the bounds of applicable law; material changes will be announced in advance on the service or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
이 약관은 서비스에 게시함으로써 효력이 발생합니다. 회사는 관련 법령을 위반하지 않는 범위에서 약관을 개정할 수 있으며, 중요한 변경은 시행 전에 서비스 또는 이메일로 미리 알립니다. 시행일 이후 서비스를 계속 이용하면 개정 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다.
The Service/ 서비스의 내용
The Company provides teacher and job listings, profile management, matching and placement assistance, and related communications. Matching is an introduction service: the employment contract itself is concluded directly between the teacher and the hagwon.
회사는 강사와 공고 정보 제공, 프로필 관리, 매칭과 알선 지원, 관련 안내를 제공합니다. 매칭은 소개 서비스이며, 근로계약 자체는 강사와 학원이 직접 체결합니다.
Signup and Account/ 가입과 계정
Signup requires accurate information and email verification. One person (or academy) may hold one account, and the account may not be transferred or lent. Members are responsible for keeping their password secure and must notify the Company of any unauthorized use.
가입 시 정확한 정보를 제공하고 이메일 인증을 마쳐야 합니다. 계정은 1인(1학원) 1계정이며 양도하거나 빌려줄 수 없습니다. 비밀번호 관리 책임은 회원에게 있으며, 도용을 알게 되면 즉시 회사에 알려야 합니다.
Member Obligations/ 회원의 의무
Members must not provide false information, use another person's identity, submit forged documents, post unlawful or discriminatory content, or use information obtained through the service for purposes other than employment. Violations may lead to suspension or termination of the account.
회원은 허위 정보 제공, 타인 명의 사용, 위조 서류 제출, 불법적이거나 차별적인 게시, 서비스에서 얻은 정보의 채용 외 목적 사용을 해서는 안 됩니다. 위반 시 계정 이용이 제한되거나 해지될 수 있습니다.
Fees/ 수수료
The service is free of charge for teacher members — signup, matching, and placement carry no fee, ever. Fees for hagwon members are set by separate agreement with the Company in accordance with the Employment Security Act.
강사 회원에게는 가입, 매칭, 알선 모두 무료이며 어떤 수수료도 받지 않습니다. 학원 회원의 수수료는 직업안정법에 따라 회사와의 별도 계약으로 정합니다.
Service Changes and Interruption/ 서비스의 변경과 중단
The Company may change or temporarily suspend parts of the service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons, and will give prior notice where reasonably possible.
회사는 점검, 보안, 운영상 필요에 따라 서비스의 일부를 변경하거나 일시 중단할 수 있으며, 합리적으로 가능한 경우 사전에 알립니다.
Withdrawal and Termination/ 탈퇴와 해지
Members may close their account at any time. Upon closure, personal data is deleted or retained per the Privacy consent and applicable statutory retention periods.
회원은 언제든지 탈퇴할 수 있습니다. 탈퇴 시 개인정보는 개인정보 수집 및 이용 동의와 관련 법령의 보존 기간에 따라 삭제 또는 보관됩니다.
Limitation of Liability/ 책임의 제한
The Company does not guarantee that a match will result in employment, and is not a party to the employment contract between teacher and hagwon. The Company is not liable for damages arising from information a member provided falsely or from causes beyond the Company's reasonable control.
회사는 매칭이 반드시 채용으로 이어짐을 보장하지 않으며, 강사와 학원 간 근로계약의 당사자가 아닙니다. 회원이 허위로 제공한 정보나 회사가 합리적으로 통제할 수 없는 사유로 발생한 손해에 대해 회사는 책임지지 않습니다.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction/ 준거법과 관할
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act. Inquiries: parkenglish@parkenglish.com.
