Park English started in 2006, founded by people who had taught English in Korea themselves. They knew first-hand how hard it was to find a hagwon that actually treats teachers well — and how hard it was for hagwons to find teachers they could trust. The agency was built to do that matching properly: bilingual, bicultural, and on the teacher's side as much as the hagwon's.
Park English는 2006년, 한국에서 직접 강사로 일했던 사람들이 “제대로 된 채용 회사가 필요하다”는 문제의식으로 시작했습니다. 학원·강사 양쪽 모두 신뢰할 수 있는 매칭을 만들기 위해 처음부터 이중언어·이중문화 기반으로 운영해 왔습니다.
In 2011, the brand was acquired by Meta Education Inc. — a Korean education company that took the original mission and the team's know-how and continued running it. The same focus stayed: verify both sides, charge teachers nothing, and stay involved from offer to arrival.
2011년 (주)메타에듀케이션이 브랜드를 인수, 같은 원칙 (“양방향 검증, 강사 무료, 오퍼부터 입국까지”) 그대로 지금까지 운영하고 있습니다.
Meta Education wasn't just an owner — it has run a large academy of its own, so the team has stood on both sides: in the classroom as teachers, and in the front office running a school. That is why we read both sides. The mission today is unchanged — free for teachers, both sides verified, and with you from the offer through arrival. We still believe the right teacher in the right classroom can change a child's year.
