What We Collect/ 수집하는 항목
Required: name, email, password, and for teachers nationality, degree and document possession (self-reported), preferred city size and regions; for hagwons the academy name, representative name, and location. Optional: profile photo, referral code, and the further profile details you choose to add later (contact number, résumé, documents, etc.).
필수: 이름, 이메일, 비밀번호, 강사는 국적, 학위와 서류 보유 여부(자기신고), 희망 도시 규모와 지역, 학원은 학원명, 대표자명, 소재 지역. 선택: 프로필 사진, 추천 코드, 그리고 이후 직접 추가하는 상세 프로필(연락처, 이력서, 서류 등).
Why We Collect It/ 이용 목적
Member management (signup, verification, notices), teacher-hagwon matching and placement, application and hiring progress, service improvement, and legally required record-keeping for job placement services.
회원 관리(가입, 인증, 고지), 강사와 학원 간 매칭과 알선, 지원과 채용 진행, 서비스 개선, 그리고 직업소개사업자에게 법령상 요구되는 기록 보관을 위해 사용합니다.
How Long We Keep It/ 보유 기간
Until you close your account, after which data is deleted — except records the Company must keep for a statutory period under laws such as the Employment Security Act and the e-commerce acts, which are kept only for that period and then destroyed. Sensitive documents follow the per-category schedule shown on the consent details page.
회원 탈퇴 시까지 보유하며 탈퇴 후 삭제합니다. 다만 직업안정법, 전자상거래법 등 법령이 보존을 요구하는 기록은 그 기간 동안만 보관 후 파기합니다. 민감한 서류는 동의 안내 페이지의 항목별 일정에 따릅니다.
Sharing for Matching/ 매칭을 위한 제공
Public listings show only anonymized information (first name with last-name initial; photo only if you opted in). Fuller profile details are provided to the counterpart (a verified hagwon, or a teacher applying to your posting) only as part of the matching and application process.
공개 리스트에는 익명화된 정보만 표시됩니다(이름과 성 이니셜, 사진은 공개 동의 시). 상세 프로필은 매칭과 지원 과정에서만 상대방(검증된 학원 또는 지원 강사)에게 제공됩니다.

What Counts as Sensitive Information/ 민감정보에 해당하는 항목
Teacher members self-report ethnicity/racial background, and self-declare whether they have any health condition or criminal record. These are sensitive information under the Personal Information Protection Act, so we ask for this separate consent before collecting them.
강사 회원에게는 인종·민족적 배경을 자기신고 받고, 건강상태와 범죄경력 유무를 자기신고로 확인합니다. 이는 개인정보보호법상 민감정보에 해당하여 별도의 동의를 받습니다.
Why We Ask/ 수집 목적
Ethnicity is shown to hagwons as part of the matching profile, since some postings state a preference. Health and criminal-record self-declarations help hagwons assess fit for a classroom role and are shown only as your own yes/no statement, not a verified document, unless a hagwon separately requests an official check.
인종 정보는 일부 공고가 선호를 명시하는 현실을 그대로 반영해 매칭 프로필에 노출됩니다. 건강·범죄경력 자기신고는 학원이 교실 근무 적합성을 판단하는 데 참고하도록 본인이 밝힌 예/아니오로만 표시되며, 학원이 별도로 공식 서류를 요청하지 않는 한 검증된 서류가 아닙니다.
How Long We Keep It/ 보유 기간
Not all of it for the same length of time. The yes/no self-declarations stay with your profile until you close your account. The criminal record check is different: it is collected only at the E-2 document stage, after an academy has selected you, and it is deleted once your visa is issued or the placement falls through — we do not keep it on file against a future job. Health information you volunteer is deleted with your profile. If a statute requires a placement record to be kept, that record contains the fact of a placement, not the sensitive documents themselves.
항목마다 다릅니다. 예/아니오 자기신고는 프로필과 함께 회원 탈퇴 시까지 보유합니다. 범죄경력증명서는 다릅니다 — 학원이 후보를 정한 뒤 E-2 서류 단계에서만 받고, 비자가 발급되거나 그 채용이 무산되면 삭제합니다. 다음 채용에 대비해 들고 있지 않습니다. 직접 알려 주신 건강 정보는 프로필과 함께 삭제됩니다. 법령이 알선 기록 보존을 요구하는 경우, 그 기록에 남는 것은 「알선이 있었다」는 사실이지 민감한 서류 자체가 아닙니다.
Your Right to Refuse/ 동의를 거부할 권리
You may refuse, and refusing is not all-or-nothing. Ethnicity is optional — leave it blank and you can still sign up, apply and be placed; the only effect is that postings which state a preference will not auto-match you. The criminal record check is different: Korean immigration requires it for an E-2 visa, so without it we cannot complete a placement. That is the law's requirement, not ours. Health information is optional and you may leave it blank.

The hagwon(s) you apply to, or that the Company matches you with — specifically the hiring staff reviewing candidates for that posting.

Items Provided/ 제공 항목
In two stages, and the first stage is deliberately narrow. Before an interview is agreed, the academy sees a redacted version: your first name with last initial, photo, nationality, degree and document status, teaching preferences, and a résumé with contact details removed. Your full name, email, phone and address are NOT sent at this stage. Once you and the academy both agree to move to an interview, your full contact details and the unredacted résumé are released so they can reach you and complete the hire.

Retention by the Receiving Hagwon/ 제공받는 학원의 보유 기간
The Company's own copy follows the account-lifetime schedule in Collection & Use of Personal Information above; the hagwon's retention of what it received is governed by its own hiring-records policy and applicable law.
회사가 보관하는 원본은 위 개인정보 수집·이용 동의의 계정 존속 기간을 따르며, 제공받은 학원 측의 보유 기간은 해당 학원의 채용 기록 관리 방침과 관련 법령을 따릅니다.
Your Right to Refuse/ 동의를 거부할 권리
You may refuse. Because sending your profile to a hagwon is how an application works, refusing means the Company cannot forward your applications, so signup is not possible without this consent.
동의는 거부할 수 있습니다. 다만 프로필을 학원에 전달하는 것이 지원의 핵심 절차이므로, 거부하면 지원 진행이 불가능해 가입이 어렵습니다.

Profile Photo for Matching/ 매칭용 프로필 사진
Your photo is optional. You can sign up, build a profile and apply without one. We ask for it because Korean academies almost always look at a photo before agreeing to an interview, so a profile without one is usually passed over — that is what actually happens, and we would rather tell you than let you find out. If you do upload one: on the public teacher directory it is blurred and your name is shortened to your first name plus last initial, so a casual visitor cannot identify you. A verified academy sees the clear photo only when reviewing you as a candidate. You can replace or delete it in your profile at any time, and deleting it does not affect any application already in progress.
사진은 **선택**입니다. 사진 없이도 가입하고 프로필을 채우고 지원하실 수 있습니다. 그래도 요청드리는 이유는, 한국 학원이 인터뷰를 잡기 전에 거의 항상 사진을 확인하기 때문에 사진이 없는 프로필은 대체로 그냥 넘어가지기 때문입니다. 실제로 일어나는 일이라 숨기지 않고 말씀드립니다. 올리실 경우: 공개 강사 리스트에서는 블러 처리되어 보이고 이름도 이름 + 성 이니셜로 줄여 표시되어 일반 방문자는 신원을 알 수 없습니다. 검증된 학원이 후보로 검토할 때만 선명한 사진을 봅니다. 프로필에서 언제든 교체하거나 삭제하실 수 있고, 삭제해도 이미 진행 중인 지원에는 영향이 없습니다.

Why a Separate Consent Is Needed/ 왜 별도 동의가 필요한가
Korean law treats sending personal information outside Korea as a separate act that needs its own consent. Ticking 'China' as a country of interest is not enough on its own, so we ask you here.
개인정보를 대한민국 밖으로 보내는 것은 법에서 별도의 행위로 보고 별도 동의를 요구합니다. 관심 국가에 중국을 체크한 것만으로는 갈음되지 않으므로 여기에서 따로 여쭙니다.
Where It Goes and Who Receives It/ 이전되는 국가와 받는 자
Country: the People's Republic of China. Recipients: the schools and placement partners in China that you apply to, or that we introduce you to with your agreement. Each recipient is named to you at the point of application, in the same way as for Korean academies.
이전 국가: 중화인민공화국. 받는 자: 회원이 지원하거나 회원 동의로 소개해 드리는 중국의 학교 및 배치 협력사입니다. 받는 곳의 이름은 한국 학원과 같은 방식으로 지원 시점에 알려 드립니다.
What Is Sent/ 이전되는 항목
The same two stages as for Korean academies. Before an interview is agreed: first name with last initial, photo, nationality, degree and document status, teaching preferences, and a résumé with contact details removed. After both sides agree to an interview: your full name, contact details and the unredacted résumé, plus the documents a Chinese work permit requires (degree, criminal record check, and the foreigner physical examination record).
한국 학원과 같은 두 단계입니다. 면접 합의 전에는 이름(성은 이니셜) · 사진 · 국적 · 학위와 서류 상태 · 희망 조건 · 연락처를 가린 이력서가 갑니다. 양쪽이 면접에 합의한 뒤에는 성명 전체 · 연락처 · 가리지 않은 이력서와 중국 취업 허가에 필요한 서류(학위 · 범죄경력증명서 · 외국인 신체검사기록)가 갑니다.
How Long the Recipient Keeps It/ 받는 자의 보유 기간
Until the hiring decision for that position is finished. If you are hired, the school keeps what its own employment and immigration rules require. If you are not hired, we ask the school to delete it.
해당 자리의 채용 절차가 끝날 때까지입니다. 채용되면 그 학교의 고용·출입국 관련 법령이 요구하는 범위에서 보관합니다. 채용되지 않으면 파기를 요청합니다.
Your Right to Refuse/ 동의를 거부할 권리
You may refuse. Refusing does not affect your Park English account or any Korean position — everything in Korea stays open to you. It only means we cannot introduce you to a position in China. You can withdraw this consent later from your profile.
동의하지 않으실 수 있습니다. 거부하셔도 Park English 계정과 한국 자리에는 아무 영향이 없습니다 — 한국 공고는 그대로 지원하실 수 있습니다. 다만 중국 자리는 소개해 드릴 수 없습니다. 동의는 나중에 프로필에서 철회하실 수 있습니다.

Cookies and Automatically Collected Information/ 쿠키 등 자동수집장치의 설치 · 운영과 거부
We use cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. There is no advertising cookie and no third-party tracking pixel on this site. We do not sell or share browsing behaviour. Separately, when you read an article in our free resources section we record that it was read — but we do not store your IP address for it. Your IP and browser string are converted into an irreversible value that only tells us "this is the same reader as before", so the same person is not counted twice; the address itself is discarded. Alongside that we keep the country and region your request came from, so we know which parts of the world our readers are in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies), but if you block them you will not be able to stay signed in.

How We Destroy Personal Data/ 개인정보의 파기 절차와 방법
When the purpose is achieved or the retention period ends, we delete the data without delay. Records held in the database are deleted so they cannot be restored. Uploaded documents — résumés, degree scans, criminal record checks — are deleted from file storage. Where a statute requires us to keep a record for a set period, that record is separated from the live service and kept only until the period ends, then destroyed the same way.
이용 목적을 이루었거나 보유 기간이 끝나면 지체 없이 파기합니다. 데이터베이스에 담긴 기록은 복구할 수 없는 방법으로 삭제하고, 올려 주신 서류(이력서, 학위 사본, 범죄경력증명서 등)는 파일 저장소에서 삭제합니다. 법령이 일정 기간 보존을 요구하는 기록은 운영 중인 서비스와 분리해 그 기간까지만 보관한 뒤 같은 방법으로 파기합니다.
Your Rights and How to Use Them/ 정보주체의 권리 · 의무와 행사 방법
You may at any time ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop us processing it. Most of it you can change yourself in your profile. For anything else, email us and we will act on it without delay — and we will tell you what we did. If you ask us to stop processing or to delete data, we will explain plainly if any part must be kept for a statutory period, and why. Exercising these rights costs nothing and does not disadvantage your applications.
언제든지 저희가 보관 중인 본인의 개인정보를 열람하고, 정정하고, 삭제하고, 처리를 정지하도록 요구하실 수 있습니다. 대부분은 프로필에서 직접 고치실 수 있고, 그 밖의 요청은 메일로 주시면 지체 없이 처리하고 처리 결과를 알려 드립니다. 삭제나 처리정지를 요구하셨을 때 법령상 보존해야 하는 부분이 있으면 어느 부분이 왜 남는지 분명히 말씀드립니다. 권리 행사에는 비용이 들지 않으며, 지원 절차에서 어떤 불이익도 없습니다.
How We Keep It Safe/ 개인정보의 안전성 확보 조치
Access to member data is limited to staff who need it for placement work, and each staff account has its own permission level. Traffic between you and the site is encrypted. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, so nobody at Park English can read them. Uploaded documents are served through signed, expiring links rather than public URLs. Résumés shown to academies before an interview are redacted copies with contact details removed.
회원 정보에 접근할 수 있는 사람은 알선 업무에 그 정보가 필요한 직원으로 제한되며, 직원 계정마다 권한 등급이 따로 있습니다. 이용자와 사이트 사이의 통신은 암호화됩니다. 비밀번호는 되돌릴 수 없는 형태로만 저장되어 Park English 의 누구도 읽을 수 없습니다. 올려 주신 서류는 공개 주소가 아니라 서명이 붙고 시간이 지나면 만료되는 링크로만 열립니다. 인터뷰 전에 학원에 보여 드리는 이력서는 연락처를 가린 사본입니다.

Please contact us first — most things are faster to fix directly. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can take it to one of the Korean bodies listed below. They are independent of Park English. You may also seek a ruling from the Personal Information Protection Commission on a decision or omission by us.

Transfer Outside Korea/ 개인정보의 국외이전
Some of the providers above are companies outside Korea. Where we can choose, we keep the data physically in Korea — Supabase stores in the Seoul region, our email sends from Seoul, and the site runs in Seoul. The transfer happens for as long as you use the service, over an encrypted connection. You may refuse the transfer; because these providers are what the service runs on, refusing means we cannot provide the service and you would need to close your account.위 수탁자 가운데 일부는 국외 사업자입니다. 저희가 고를 수 있는 경우에는 데이터를 물리적으로 한국에 둡니다 — Supabase 는 서울 리전에 저장하고, 메일 발송과 사이트 실행도 서울에서 이뤄집니다. 이전은 서비스를 이용하시는 동안 암호화된 연결로 이뤄집니다. 국외이전을 거부하실 수 있으나, 이 업체들이 서비스가 돌아가는 기반이므로 거부하시면 서비스 제공이 불가능해 탈퇴하셔야 합니다.
