Alibi: the whiteboard lying game that scales from beginners to advanced

ALIBI: Class Game Rules

Setup:

  • One student leaves the room
  • Class decides on a "crime" (something missing or broken)
  • Student comes back and has 60 seconds to invent an alibi—where they were last night

Questions (5 minutes):

  • Class asks questions in English to catch the student lying
  • If the student contradicts themselves, hesitates more than 3 seconds, or changes a detail → they LOSE
  • If they survive 5 minutes with the same story → they WIN

Example questions:

  • Where were you at 8pm?
  • Who were you with?
  • What did you eat?
  • How did you go there?
  • What were you wearing?

Your turn: When you are the volunteer, remember your story. One mistake and you lose.
