Vanishing Text: The Whiteboard Game That Turns Any Sentence Into a Memory Drill
- Start every new sentence with two full read-throughs before erasing anything — skipping this step is why classes stall halfway.
- For discipline-heavy classes, call on individuals for the recital instead of choral reading, so passengers can't hide in the group voice.
- If a class is mixed-level, let the stronger kids handle the last few blanks and the weaker ones handle the earlier, fuller versions of the sentence.
- Keep a mental note of which grammar point you're targeting before you write the sentence — the game only teaches what's actually written on the board.
- Works as a five-minute filler at the end of class just as well as a twenty-minute core activity.
