The missing -s: why Korean students say "she go to school"
- Write the one-line rule on the board first and keep it visible all class: -s only for he/she/it, only present tense.
- Drill 2 (find and fix) works best read aloud first. Students hear the missing -s more easily than they see it.
- Drill 5 (speaking without notes) is where the real mistake shows up. Don't skip it for time; it's the actual test.
- Flag "have becomes has" once, briefly, and move on before it derails the class.
- For a stronger class: have students write a short paragraph describing a K-pop idol's or athlete's daily routine, all in third person present simple, then trade papers and circle every verb to check the -s.
