Sleepovers and friend birthday parties: should kids go to sleepovers in middle school?
- Keep the vote simple: one show of hands, no debate about the rules of the vote itself.
- If a student says their family never allows sleepovers, treat it as a normal, valid answer, not something to fix.
- Watch the clock on pair work. A2 students will need the full 10 minutes to read both opinions slowly.
- For a stronger class: add a third opinion card with no clear side ("It depends on who is hosting") and ask students to argue which of the three opinions is closest to their own, with two reasons.
