Sleep and bedtime rules: should kids have a phone-free bedroom at night?
- Model the sentence frame yourself first; weaker classes will copy your exact words, which is fine at this level.
- Keep both sides of the table alive during share time. If one side dominates, read a line from the other column aloud and ask "Does anyone agree with this?"
- Watch for kids reporting a parent's rule instead of their own opinion. Redirect gently with "What do YOU think?"
- Lower-level classes can skip question 3 and just vote.
- For a stronger class: ask them to write two sentences, one for each side, before they vote, so the opinion isn't just a guess.
