Teacher notes — Classroom Games
Musical Chairs for Vocabulary: a whiteboard elimination game for 8-15 kids with no props
- Pre-write the word list on the board before class starts so you don't lose momentum writing mid-game.
- Set the rule up front: only the student you point to answers, otherwise your loudest kid answers every single word and nobody else gets a turn.
- Keep a mental note of who hasn't answered yet in each round. Quiet students will stay standing by accident, not by choice, if you don't call on them.
- For a stronger class, require a full sentence or an English-only definition instead of a single word or a Korean translation.
