Banning After-Hours Work Messages: A Debate Your Adult Class Already Lives
- Keep the framing as "proposed, not passed" — some students will have heard conflicting claims from Korean news, and that's fine, tell them to check the current status themselves.
- The role card exercise works better if you assign B (small business owner) to your most agreeable students — it forces them to argue against their instinct.
- Expect at least one student to say they'd rather answer a late message than have an awkward conversation the next morning — that's a genuine and common position here, not a wrong answer.
- If the class is quiet, ask for a concrete number: "How many minutes after 6pm is too late?" Numbers get people arguing faster than opinions do.
