AI Digital Textbooks Just Got Demoted in Korea, and Your High Schoolers Have Opinions
- Ask which school your students attend before class if you can — implementation of AIDT varied a lot by district and even by teacher, so don't assume a shared experience.
- If a student says their school never used it, that's normal, not a wrong answer — some schools opted out from the start.
- Keep the "screen time" argument separate from the "does it help learning" argument. Students conflate these constantly.
- For lower levels, cut the debate structure and run it as a simple two-column class brainstorm on the board instead.
- Good stretch question for stronger classes: "Who should decide this — the government or your school?" It reliably splits the room.
