Hello,
I am an AMERICAN from the U.S.A. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and so I consider myself American.
Why is it then that I am not qualified for certain positions? I happen to be a Korean American and I keep getting responses from schools that I do not qualify because I am not "native"?
What does that mean? I was not born in Korea, nor have I ever lived here for an extended period of time. Why are my qualifications less just because I am a Korean American? Why am I considered a native Korean by my F-4 visa even if I was not born in Korea?
I have an F-4 visa but want to get a E-2 visa, but companies won't hire me because I am not "native". This is very frustrating and limits the types of jobs I can get even though I feel that I am qualified and even better qualified than some other people I have seen get jobs.
