I am trying to apply for the f-4 visa and i have the following documents...
birth certificate with parents' names
passport
both parents' naturalization certificates
filled out forms that my parents are giving up their korean citizenship ?? the korean title is... "gook juhk sang shil shin go suh"
when i took these things to the korean embassy in los angeles, the lady INSISTED that i needed to have a copy of my family's census register to prove that they gave up their korean citizenships...but what i don't understand is why she can't answer any questions about how or where or who i am supposed to go to for the family census register. I talked to someone that got the f-4 before and he said that the embassy should be able to find this information on their computers and that the documents that i had already provided should have been enough.
So...what am i supposed to do?... I am going to try and talk to the lady again but i would appreciate any kind of answer that you could give me. Thanks!
