Hello! My name is Lucas Kwong and I am currently a senior English major at Yale University. I'm interested in teaching in Korea next year. I'd like to begin the application process earlier and hopefully secure a job by April, but I have a question regarding the E-2 Visa application. I'm a Canadian citizen and may not be able to obtain a valid passport until I return to Canada in June. This means that I would not be able to send a copy of a valid passport until mid-July. Will this hamper the progress of my E-2 Visa application if all my other documents have been submitted earlier, e.g. in May? I only ask because, if necessary, I will apply for a new Canadian passport earlier.
