Dear Jobseeker,
The transcripts are required to show additional support that you in fact have a completed Bachelor's degree.
There have been numerous incidents where jobseekers have submitted counterfeit diplomas in order to teach in South Korea.
The Korean Immigration may has become more stringent about checking whether or not your diploma and transcripts are genuine and that you indeed have completed a Bachelor's Degree.
It must be sent sealed and your employer cannot open them. The sealed transcripts are sent directly to Immigration for them to open and discard. This is why it is recommended to order 2-3 copies, in case you decide to teach in Korea again the following year, instead of trying to go through the hassel of ordering another one from overseas.
Sincerely,
Park English Team
